Yamba, NSW

The second stop on our valley was Yamba. We’d been told time and again how awesome Yamba is and how beautiful it is and the place didn’t disappoint. It was absolutely packed with Christmas holiday makers but we scored a spot at a Hipcamp on Micalo Island about 10 minutes out of Yamba. The camp was called Skippy’s Rest and not sure if it’s cause their were heaps of dead roo bones around (but morbid if so 🤣) but it overlooked a beautiful wetland area that was just full of Roos and birds everyday. The wind was absolutely howling the whole time we were there it got up to like 60k gusts 😱 so we never put the awning out while we were there but hey still beautiful.

Went into Yamba a few times, had fish and chips overlooking the harbour one night, spent a few hours down the beach with the crew another day, got to see a westpac rescue chopper take off up close and personal and had a look around. Even went down one more to the coastal pool and swam in the ocean 😍 bloody luxury! Really enjoyed our 4 days in Yamba.

Bye Yamba ✌🏽
